Beginning direct sales in my new small business, need ideas!?
I make some really cool home decor products (sign boards with custom sayings, etched wine glasses & pitchers, personalized totes etc.) and I want to expand from craft shows to direct "home show" sales. What materials do I need to have printed, or make for my hostess? I have created some postcards, but I don't know what else I need. I know some of you sell Mary Kay, Pampered etc. Please let me know where to go from here. Thanks a lot!
It's important to give your "consultants" good profit and incentive to keep them eager to sell your products. You will need to have access to make these women professional business cards, flyers, etc. Offer free items - such as, "spend $50 and get a free ______" so that your customers want to purchase more so that they can get the free item. It takes time to find people who will sell your products, so start looking right away. Good luck!
